The Oxford Encyclopedia of Islam in North America

The Oxford Encyclopedia of Islam in North America

There is currently tremendous interest in Islam in North America, among both scholars and the general public. While there is a growing body of scholarly literature, there are comparatively few resources that focus on Islam as a North American religious tradition. The Oxford Encyclopedia of Islam in North America will fill this gap by providing in-depth scholarly articles on key topics in the study of Islam in the United States and Canada, as well as in Mexico and the Caribbean  areas of growing scholarly interest. All of the articles appear online as part of the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Religion.
